DeVol Cohen Associates
Lawrence “Pete” Cohen dedicated twenty-seven years (1988-2015) providing Peace Keeping services for the citizens of San Diego. He spent twenty-one years guiding and supervising patrol officers and directing patrol activities for the San Diego Police Department. He ended every pre-shift briefing with, “Be Safe, Be Professional, Enjoy Yourself, and at All Times… Do The Right Thing!”
Pete now directs operations for three primary business entities:
San Francisco Bay Area based GS Consultants offers in-depth Strong Interest Inventory and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator or MBTI training to Career Development Professionals with the target market being College and University Career Counselors and Academic Advisors as well as Self-Employed Career Counselors. GS provides on-line and on-site Strong Interest Inventory Certification Training and on-line MBTI Certification Training.
Solana Beach based DeVol Cohen Associates, Inc., provides Management, Leadership and Organizational Development Training and Services to both Public and Private sector clients. Pete and his wife Kellye are committed to helping clients co-create work environments where mutual need satisfaction is achieved and organizational objectives are met.
Solana Beach based DeVol Cohen Properties, LP, provides residential real estate throughout San Diego County.
Since the early eighties, Pete and his wife Kellye have lived, worked, and raised two amazing daughters in the San Diego area. Pete challenges friends, family, and clients to “Care Enough, to Dare Enough, to Do Enough.” He believes that every human contact is a potential source of personal enrichment and his Mission is “Service.”
Pete has an Associate of Arts degree with an emphasis in Criminal Justice from Miramar Community College, San Diego, California; a Professional Certificate in Management from the University of California, San Diego, California; a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Management with a course emphasis in Business Administration from Webster University, San Diego, California; and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Webster University, San Diego, California.
Pete completed Gordon Training International’s Leader Effectiveness Training (L.E.T.) Train the Trainer course and is an authorized L.E.T. trainer. He was trained by L.E.T. Master Trainer Bill Stinnett, Ph.D.
Pete is a certified practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) and the Strong Interest Inventory® (SII®) assessments. He was trained by Judith Grutter, MS, NCC, MCC of GS Consultants and Jean M. Kummerow, Ph.D.
Pete completed Emotional Freedom Techniques® EFT® Masters Boot Camp. He was trained by Gary H. Craig, EFT Founder.
